C.'s Marcelinho Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Sergipano in the 8th minute of play. Marcelinho Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Loyola in the 12th minute of the match. Marcelinho Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Emerson Tavares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexilhão F. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bayern Lessa - u21 the free kick. In the 18th minute of the match Bruninho Coelho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelinho Matorin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Manfredo Faria hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Raimundo Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Francisco Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Ronaldinho de Almeida made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Edu Siqueira sent off a good shot on target. Marcelinho Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute Raimundo Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Siqueira to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo Loyola made a kick off. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Bayern Lessa - u21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Pontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Edu Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Gerber in the 55th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Marcelinho Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldinho de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Loyola got free with Marcelinho Matorin in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcelinho Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diamantino Gerber in the 65th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Délio Sergipano took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Marcelinho Matorin to make any attempt to save it. In the 73rd match minute, Bayern Lessa - u21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leme to maneuver through the defense. Emerson Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Marcelinho Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Mexilhão F. C.'s Marcelinho Matorin got control of the ball when Raimundo Loyola tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Bayern Lessa - u21 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
