The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sport Club Cevada's Luiz Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Magalhães in the 2nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Valadares got free with Carlos Eduardo de Carvalho in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juan Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Chico Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Club Cevada's supporters rose to their feet, but Chico Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Eduardo de Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Meira in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio França in the 21st minute of play forced UPTEXTIL.COM's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Magalhães in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, UPTEXTIL.COM's Maicon Veloso got a free kick in the 28th minute. The supporters of Sport Club Cevada booed when UPTEXTIL.COM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Leonel Meira put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Fantini. In the 40thth minute of the game Humberto Magalhães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sport Club Cevada's Luiz Fantini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Fantini came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by UPTEXTIL.COM's Humberto Magalhães. But to his dismay, Humberto Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Sport Club Cevada players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. UPTEXTIL.COM were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Magalhães was the one to do the kick off. After 50 played minutes Sport Club Cevada got a freekick which was hit by Tião Rodrigues. Humberto Magalhãess short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Luiz Fantini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 58 minutes of play, UPTEXTIL.COM's Humberto Magalhães made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
