Abel Novaes was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Santiago Cabezudo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Santiago Cabezudo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Abel Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuliano David in the 13th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonçalo Maciel in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Novaes saved SOL from getting behind. Abel Novaes was a little too slow when Waldemar Lucas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 3-0. Abel Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuliano David, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuliano David in the 25th minute of play forced SOL's goalkeeper Abel Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 minutes of play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Santiago Cabezudo made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Novaes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, SOL's goalkeeper Abel Novaes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giuliano David. 32 minutes into the match, Santiago Cabezudo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Novaes. SOL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Cabezudo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 35 minutes into the game, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Giuliano David nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abel Novaes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Giuliano David scored 7-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abel Novaes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Santiago Cabezudo notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of SOL's Abel Novaes. Abel Novaes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 46 minutes into the match, SOL's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Cabezudo came free, but Abel Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agostinho Arruda was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Wilton Berger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villaverde Celeste Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Giuliano David took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Novaes. Abel Novaes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. 59 minutes into the match, SOL's goal looked a bit too open when Giuliano David came free, but Abel Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giuliano David took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Novaes. Abel Novaes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. In the 65th minute Vitinho Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SOL's Gustavo Perez got a free kick in the 66th minute. Abel Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuliano David in the 71st minute of play. Abel Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuliano David, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute Gonçalo Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, SOL's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Donato came free, but Abel Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Wilton Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SOL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villaverde Celeste Clube the free kick. The supporters of Villaverde Celeste Clube booed when SOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball.
