The supporters of Villaverde Celeste Clube booed when Ibirama Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Villaverde Celeste Clube getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ismael Tasso hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Villaverde Celeste Clube's zone, Luís Eduardo Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrinho Mesquita came out of the goal and Luís Eduardo Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st match minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson Souza to maneuver through the defense. Márcio Trevisan charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Márcio Trevisan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Dário Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 minutes of play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Giuliano David made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Décio Neiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hílton Godoi hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Berger in the 37th minute of play forced Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Décio Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hudson Souza hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Wilton Berger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Décio Neiva. Ibirama Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilton Berger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

With his leg Décio Neiva managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Villaverde Celeste Clube's Giuliano David fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Ibirama Futebol Clube's zone, Wilton Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Décio Neiva came out of the goal and Wilton Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Giuliano David got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 71 played minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Galvão. Décio Neiva came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Villaverde Celeste Clube's Giuliano David. But to his dismay, Giuliano David quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. If Márcio Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Giuliano David kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Décio Neiva. That made the score 0-6 in the 96 minute of play. Villaverde Celeste Clube's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
