The audience was convinced that Wilson Guedes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Décio Neiva was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fantini in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Novaes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute, one of Ibirama Futebol Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ibirama Futebol Clube. In the 16th minute, Benjamin Lucas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Décio Neiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrique Branco in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Novaes saved SOL from getting behind. In the 22nd minute Wilson Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SOL's Cássio Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Henrique Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique Branco struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Abel Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibirama Futebol Clube. Henrique Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Novaes having to interfere. Luiz Fantini's late challenge caught a SOL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fantini helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Luiz Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes, SOL's Jânio Ferreira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Décio Neiva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SOL reached it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henrique Branco was the one to do the kick off. Cássio Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute of the match Simão Tavares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Décio Neiva skillfully saved the ball. The Ibirama Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Ibirama Futebol Clube's Henrique Branco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Abel Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Henrique Branco sped through SOL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abel Novaes. Abel Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Trevisan in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Henrique Branco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Novaes. SOL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrique Branco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Wilson Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Henrique Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 90 minutes into the match, Henrique Branco notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of SOL's Abel Novaes. Abel Novaes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 93 minutes into the game, Cássio Maranhense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SOL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibirama Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 93rd match minute, SOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Ibirama Futebol Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
