Felizberto EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Paulo de Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Walmyr Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Felizberto EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmyr Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Novaes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilian Abraão to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Raphael Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sílvio Luiz Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 70th match minute, SOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute of the match, Sílvio Luiz Ceresso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Maria Ortiz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Germano Souza fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Felizberto EC's protests and gave Germano Souza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Germano Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felizberto EC's José Maria Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Ceresso in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Felizberto EC's goalkeeper José Maria Ortiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Paulo de Mendonça. The Felizberto EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SOL's performance. The match ended with a win for SOL.
