Walmyr Proença, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Reko-Recko 03™'s goalkeeper Maurinho Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Reko-Recko 03™'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustavo Borges was slow to take the kick. During this time Cadu Team's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Cadu Team's Tomé Gerber getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Walmyr Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio Domingues having to interfere. After 28 minutes, Gustavo Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cadu Team and the Reko-Recko 03™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cadu Team getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gustavo Borges hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Reko-Recko 03™'s Zézinho Paraense got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Gustavo Borges was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. In the 40th match minute, Cadu Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Borges to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Roger Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walmyr Proença to make the kick off. Reko-Recko 03™'s Aírton Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walmyr Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The corner ended in Walmyr Proença almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cadu Team's Caio Domingues did a great save. When Walmyr Proença came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Reko-Recko 03™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmyr Proença couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd match minute, Reko-Recko 03™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Paraense to maneuver through the defense. If Hermínio Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hortêncio Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hortêncio Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aírton Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Caio Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reko-Recko 03™. In the 92nd minute, Murillo Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walmyr Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Reko-Recko 03™ were the better team. Reko-Recko 03™'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
