Fabiano Negri charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabiano Negri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Negri. After a rather tough play, Buritama Sports's Hortêncio Salgado got a free kick in the 9th minute. Hernani Botelho struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Genílson Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capivara FC. Dedê Britto scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Francisco Viana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Francisco Viana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willian Pernambucano's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Genílson Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Saraiva in the 21st minute of play. Pedro Augusto Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Francisco Viana having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Willian Pernambucano made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Buritama Sports's Pedro Augusto Fontes got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Guto Bastos took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Genílson Porto. Genílson Porto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fabiano Negri hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. João Francisco Viana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gino Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Gino Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Francisco Viana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gino Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. After 67 minutes, Hortêncio Salgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buritama Sports and the Capivara FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Buritama Sports's Genílson Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Bastos in the 78th minute of play. After 79 minutes of play, Buritama Sports's Dedê Britto made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Francisco Viana was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Bruninho Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gino Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buritama Sports's protests and gave Gino Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. Genílson Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 93 minutes, Hernani Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capivara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernani Botelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Genílson Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guto Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
