After a rather tough play, Nunes FC's Sandro Valladares got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 8 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Neiva. 11 minutes into the match, Nunes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amauri Sampaio came free, but Falcão de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hernani Botelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Falcão de Brito was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Falcão de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Hernani Botelho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capivara FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Hernani Botelho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Falcão de Brito. Nunes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernani Botelho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of Nunes FC booed when Capivara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernani Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Amauri Sampaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Falcão de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Bastos in the 36th minute of the match. Nunes FC's Falcão de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Botelho in the 37th minute of play. Hernani Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Falcão de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Botelho in the 44th minute of play forced Nunes FC's goalkeeper Falcão de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Hernani Botelho struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Falcão de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capivara FC. In the 52nd minute, Dedé Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narciso de Barros during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Capivara FC! João Francisco Viana had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Pedro Vander's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Capivara FC defense, Pedro Vander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Francisco Viana. The Capivara FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Francisco Viana should have stopped the shot. After 61 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Neiva. After a defensive mix-up in Capivara FC's zone, Luizão Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Francisco Viana came out of the goal and Luizão Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Nunes FC's goalkeeper Falcão de Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernani Botelho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho de Lima in the 70th minute of play forced Capivara FC's goalkeeper João Francisco Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Capivara FC's Amauri Sampaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Falcão de Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Hernani Botelho came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Falcão de Brito could save by the left post. In the 84th minute, Amauri Sampaio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Falcão de Brito. The goal made the score 1-4. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nunes FC's goalkeeper Falcão de Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nunes FC's Falcão de Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Nunes FC from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, Nunes FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hernani Botelho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Falcão de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri Sampaio in the 93rd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Nunes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guto Bastos came free, but Falcão de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernani Botelho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Falcão de Brito when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hernani Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Falcão de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Capivara FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
