The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cássio de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Rosa in the 3rd minute of play. Claudinho Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Olívio Sousa got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Olavo Carioca came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Poetass FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olavo Carioca couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Poetass FC's zone, Natanael Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cássio de Senna came out of the goal and Natanael Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Natanael Prata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 26 minutes, Genílson Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poetass FC and the Agroboys SM - CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Genílson Andrade hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Claudinho Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Rosa in the 33rd minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper Cássio de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Poetass FC's Abelardo Mattos got a free kick in the 35th minute. If Natanael Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 played minutes Poetass FC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Mattos. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olavo Carioca made a kick off. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Dorival Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Azevedo in the 52nd minute of play. Cássio de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natanael Prata in the 57th minute of play. Genílson Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Dorival Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Válbson Rosa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 63rd playminute. In the 66th minute Natanael Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olívio Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Natanael Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natanael Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Natanael Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes Poetass FC got a freekick which was hit by Rony Peixoto. In the 82nd match minute, Agroboys SM - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Prata to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Mattos during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abelardo Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Cássio de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute of the match, Olívio Sousa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cássio de Senna saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Cássio de Senna successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Válbson Rosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Cássio de Senna made a huge save. Narciso Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Agroboys SM - CIMZ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
