Léo de Amaral was a little too slow when Murillo Travassos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-1. 38 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Godoi came free, but Rômulo Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred da Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Léo de Amaral made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murillo Travassos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred da Silva in the 86th minute of play forced Zebus FC's goalkeeper Léo de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Zebus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Murillo Travassos came free, but Léo de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
