The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Michel Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Britto in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 played minutes Donzela de Ferro FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Fontes. When Carlos Fernando Britto came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Zebus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Fernando Britto couldn't finish the play. José Vítor Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Michel Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Rodolfo Velasco put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Michel Viana. In the 19th minute, Luizão Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Fernando Britto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Carlos Fernando Britto made a precise shot to the right of Michel Viana. Donzela de Ferro FBPA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Ivo Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Michel Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michel Viana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Velasco went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Carlos Fernando Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Fernando Britto took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michel Viana. Michel Viana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, Donzela de Ferro FBPA's José Vítor Simões got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute of the match Germano Arce sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michel Viana skillfully saved the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Carlos Fernando Britto made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Zebus FC's Rodolfo Velasco made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michel Viana was left in no man's land by his defense there! Michel Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olívio Fontes during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Olívio Fontes got a free kick in the 60th minute. Michel Viana acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Germano Arce. After 65 played minutes, Zebus FC's Germano Arce shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Michel Viana came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zebus FC reached it. The supporters of Donzela de Ferro FBPA booed when Zebus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luan Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luizão Campidelis hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After 95 played minutes, Zebus FC's Germano Arce shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Michel Viana came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zebus FC reached it. When the match was over Zebus FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Donzela de Ferro FBPA throughout the match.
