The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Luan Teles put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Zebus FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Donzela de Ferro FBPA:s goal. Zebus FC:s Léo de Amaral showed great skill when he stopped Mário de Lima:s penalty. In the 6th minute, Mário de Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Léo de Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Giuseppe Godoi struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Michel Viana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zebus FC. A collision led to Donzela de Ferro FBPA getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Olívio Fontes hit a great ball. Zebus FC's Germano Arce shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 13th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Michel Viana but with some difficulty. In the 18th minute, Rogério Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th match minute, Zebus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenílson Mello to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Michel Viana managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Zebus FC's Giuseppe Godoi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Giuseppe Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michel Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Zebus FC booed when Donzela de Ferro FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giuseppe Godoi was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute Giuseppe Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Alfredo Capixaba got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Zebus FC booed when Donzela de Ferro FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Zebus FC's Germano Arce tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Donzela de Ferro FBPA getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Alfredo Capixaba hit a great ball. After 74 played minutes, Zebus FC's Gabriel Custódio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Michel Viana came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zebus FC reached it. Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Luizão Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lenílson Mello hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Although Zebus FC had been in control for most of the match, Donzela de Ferro FBPA still came away with the win.
