João Carlos Teixeira started the match with the kick off. The supporters of PIAUÍ FC booed when INTER FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benê Simão came free, but Murilo Nølev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Basílio Maranhense throw himself and got hold of the ball when Mateus Moreno in the 15thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. A collision led to PIAUÍ FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Agnaldo Sá hit a great ball. Mateus Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joãozinho Yver struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Basílio Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PIAUÍ FC. After 23 minutes, Léo Moreno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PIAUÍ FC and the INTER FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, PIAUÍ FC's Léo Moreno got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Berger came free, but Murilo Nølev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Joãozinho Yver could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Basílio Maranhense however easily saved by the left post. In the 41st minute Mateus Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When PIAUÍ FC's Mateus Moreno in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye INTER FC's goalie prevented a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mateus Moreno made a kick off. Benê Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 52nd match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni Torres to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Simão to maneuver through the defense. Murilo Nølev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Teixeira in the 65th minute of the match. Murilo Nølev didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. When INTER FC's João Carlos Teixeira in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PIAUÍ FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 78th play minutes João Carlos Teixeira shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Murilo Nølev and just under the crossbar into goal. Basílio Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateus Moreno in the 87th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded INTER FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than PIAUÍ FC.
