Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlinhos Bastos in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murilo Coelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Intendencia AD booed when Nacional de Rolândia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlinhos Bastos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Murilo Coelho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. After 9 minutes Nacional de Rolândia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luiz Paulo Prado who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Intendencia AD's corner Luiz Paulo Prado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Murilo Coelho quite easily take care of the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murilo Coelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Intendencia AD were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Nacional de Rolândia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Paulo Prado took the corner. The corner led Intendencia AD's Luiz Paulo Prado to fire away a dangerous shot which Murilo Coelho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlinhos Bastos in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murilo Coelho saved Nacional de Rolândia from getting behind. Intendencia AD's Luiz Paulo Prado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Murilo Coelho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Intendencia AD's Carlinhos Bastos in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nacional de Rolândia's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25thth minute of the game Carlinhos Bastos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nacional de Rolândia's Murilo Coelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nacional de Rolândia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Paulo Prado was slow to take the kick. During this time Intendencia AD's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Oséas Galvão heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 33rd minute, Giuseppe Vinhas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Intendencia AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Di Sordi hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Nacional de Rolândia's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Bastos came free, but Murilo Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1-2 became the score in the 44th minute when Carlinhos Bastos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Couto to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Nacional de Rolândia getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Lucas Couto hit a great ball. Murilo Coelho stood somewhat misplaced when Carlinhos Bastos came free in front of goal and shot 1-5 to the left of him in the 63 minute. After 68 played minutes Nacional de Rolândia got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Couto. Giuseppe Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Di Sordi kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Intendencia AD's Cleiton Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Di Sordi in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Nacional de Rolândia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Couto to maneuver through the defense. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nacional de Rolândia! When the match had been going on for 83 minutes, Intendencia AD's Luiz Paulo Prado got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Murilo Coelho. Carlinhos Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 played minutes Intendencia AD got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Prado. Hernani de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute Jaime Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleiton Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Carlinhos Bastos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Murilo Coelho was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
