Giuseppe Vinhas might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celso Luz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giuseppe Vinhas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute Felipe Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcinho Sá hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 24th match minute, S.C.PAULISTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Celso Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Paulo Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlinhos Bastos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso Luz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Intendencia AD's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Paulo Prado in the 28th minute. A nice corner shot did that Luiz Paulo Prado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Celso Luz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Oséas Galvão hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean Borges during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jean Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Carlinhos Bastos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Luz. S.C.PAULISTA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlinhos Bastos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 38th minute, Olívio Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39th play minutes Carlinhos Bastos shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Celso Luz and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Carlinhos Bastos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Luz was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Jean Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleiton Terra having to interfere. Intendencia AD's Hernani de Alcântara was substituted for Felipe Dias. After the first half Intendencia AD were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean Borges to make the kick off. Carlinhos Bastos might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celso Luz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlinhos Bastos ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlinhos Bastos in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celso Luz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlinhos Bastos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 67 minute of play. Elias do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 74th minute Carlinhos Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Carlinhos Bastos notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of S.C.PAULISTA's Celso Luz. Celso Luz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlinhos Bastos in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celso Luz saved S.C.PAULISTA from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Carlinhos Bastos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcinho Sá's late challenge caught a Intendencia AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcinho Sá helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes S.C.PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Sá.
