Nestor de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Sebastião Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gremio NG's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor de Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Luz to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Fernando Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Washington Fernandes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kauan Machado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Benjamim da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauan Machado having to interfere. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gremio NG's goalkeeper Kauan Machado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nestor de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Neto in the 62nd minute of play forced Real Brasília FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Nestor de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Neto couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute Fernando Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Gremio NG getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Vidal hit a great ball. The Gremio NG fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Gremio NG's Fernando Luz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kauan Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Fernandes in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
