Geovânio Albuquerque hit a great ball. Geovânio Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Palmeiras's zone, Diogo Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Freitas came out of the goal and Diogo Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovânio Albuquerque got free with Márcio Freitas in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Márcio Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cafu Tinoco in the 26th minute of the match. Felippe Vianna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Téo Trancoso's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Cafu Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Freitas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Cosme in the 38th minute of play forced Floresta Club U18's goalkeeper Felippe Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palmeiras were furious when Hélio Guimarães was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Hélio Guimarães hit a great ball. Ademir Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Geovânio Albuquerque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Palmeiras's Márcio Freitas got control of the ball when Diogo Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a little luck, Floresta Club U18's Felippe Vianna got control of the ball when Téo Trancoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Felippe Vianna managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Palmeiras's Ademir Senna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Felippe Vianna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Téo Trancoso in the 83rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilson Lopes during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Floresta Club U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Lopes to maneuver through the defense. If Téo Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Palmeiras booed when Floresta Club U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position.
