In the 14thth minute of the game Dieguinho Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos City's Perivaldo Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santos City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Fabiano Dante was slow to take the kick. During this time FIEL ALGUSTA's players had a chance to rest. The corner led FIEL ALGUSTA's Luiz Fabiano Dante to fire away a dangerous shot which Perivaldo Azevedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Perivaldo Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dieguinho Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 53rd minute Jânio Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Munhoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
