A collision led to SeleSantos FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Eurico Prestes hit a great ball. Cristiano Capixaba was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 21st match minute, SeleSantos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Moura to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes Tribos got a freekick which was hit by Lenílson Baiano. 28 minutes into the match, Tribos's goal looked a bit too open when José Fernandez came free, but Tiaguinho Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tribos's Tiaguinho Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Fernandez in the 35th minute of play. Lenílson Baiano hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Tiaguinho Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho Teles in the 38th minute of the match. When Abelardo de Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the SeleSantos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo de Moraes couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kauã Mendes made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã Mendes in the 54th minute of play forced SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Tales Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tribos's zone, Abelardo de Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiaguinho Sabóia came out of the goal and Abelardo de Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Betinho Trancoso's late challenge caught a SeleSantos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betinho Trancoso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tribos getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Betinho Trancoso hit a great ball. Kauã Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Fernandez got free with Tiaguinho Sabóia in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sidney Bittencourt charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidney Bittencourt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Sidney Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Fernandez scored 0-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiaguinho Sabóia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abelardo de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Sabóia having to interfere. Betinho Trancoso hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the game, Ernani Cerezo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SeleSantos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tribos the free kick. After 75 played minutes SeleSantos FC got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Cerezo. Tribos's Tiaguinho Sabóia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Tribos from getting a goal against them. Ernani Cerezo was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, SeleSantos FC's Ernani Cerezo got a free kick in the 80th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Tribos's Tarcisio Motta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tales Siqueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of SeleSantos FC booed when Tribos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauã Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiaguinho Sabóia made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Fernandez in the 92nd minute.
