Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roger de Barros started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes, Roger de Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marquês de Herval and the Sport Club Mavericks players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when Marquês de Herval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute of the match Cássio Santana shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juarês de Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Davi Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. With a little luck, Marquês de Herval's Juarês de Amaral got control of the ball when Alfredão Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Augusto Marquez hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Mário Santos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Alfredão Mesquita came free with the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Juarês de Amaral could save by the left post. After 25 minutes of play, Marquês de Herval's Diego Guimarães made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rony Paiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28thth minute of the game Pedro Augusto Marquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquês de Herval's Juarês de Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mário Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mário Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marquês de Herval! An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Guimarães in the 38th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Rony Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Robinho Gerber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rony Paiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 47thth minute of the game Zézinho Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquês de Herval's Juarês de Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Marquês de Herval were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Alfredão Mesquita made the kick off in the second half. Gualter Romero hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, Roger de Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rony Paiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Marquês de Herval's zone, Zézinho Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês de Amaral came out of the goal and Zézinho Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when Marquês de Herval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zézinho Neto in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juarês de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Marquês de Herval getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Dráusio Couto hit a great ball. With a little luck, Sport Club Mavericks's Rony Paiva got control of the ball when Ronaldão Breckenfeld tried to sneak it across the goal line. Davi Rossi hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Neto in the 74th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Juarês de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juarês de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Neto in the 75th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Marquês de Herval defense, Zézinho Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juarês de Amaral. The Marquês de Herval fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juarês de Amaral should have stopped the shot. The referee felt a red card was in order, 89 minutes into the game, when Dráusio Couto put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Marquês de Herval:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sport Club Mavericks:s goal. Juarês de Amaral had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Davi Rossi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Giuseppe Cabral came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Sport Club Mavericks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giuseppe Cabral couldn't finish the play. Marquês de Herval's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
