Toninho Cardozo was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Enio Travassos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Enio Travassos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Jaime de Medeiros notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Estrela Solitária's Mário Quirino. Mário Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Váldson Aguiar during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Estrela Solitária's Enio Travassos got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Toninho Cardozo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vitinho Gonçalves. Toninho Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Enio Travassos sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, Bailão De Munique FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enio Travassos came free, but Toninho Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doriva Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 played minutes Bailão De Munique FC got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Linares. With a little luck, Bailão De Munique FC's Toninho Cardozo got control of the ball when Francisco Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fellipe Lago was the one to do the kick off. Aníbal Linares's late challenge caught a Estrela Solitária's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aníbal Linares helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 played minutes, Estrela Solitária's Luiz Guilherme Miranda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Toninho Cardozo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Estrela Solitária reached it. Fellipe Lago hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the game, Estrela Solitária's Francisco Alagoano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toninho Cardozo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Enio Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Bailão De Munique FC defense, Enio Travassos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toninho Cardozo. The Bailão De Munique FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toninho Cardozo should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Bailão De Munique FC booed when Estrela Solitária was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitinho Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 played minutes Estrela Solitária got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Gonçalves. In the 69th minute, Ricardinho Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Bailão De Munique FC's Alan de Andrade seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alan de Andrade the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bailão De Munique FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alan de Andrade had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 74th minute of the match Luiz Guilherme Miranda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Toninho Cardozo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute Enio Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Quirino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fellipe Lago in the 83rd minute. Toninho Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enio Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bailão De Munique FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Estrela Solitária.
