The supporters of Velho Barreiro FC booed when Austra 04 VFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Bertassi's late challenge caught a Velho Barreiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Bertassi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, Austra 04 VFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. Cauã Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Velho Barreiro FC's José Carlos Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo de Salles in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st minute, Breno Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedrão Donato struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. José Carlos Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austra 04 VFC. After having played for 32 minutes, Rony Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Austra 04 VFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rony Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Austra 04 VFC's zone, Elano Vander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Porto came out of the goal and Elano Vander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Téo de Salles notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Velho Barreiro FC's José Carlos Cardoso. José Carlos Cardoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Messias to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Austra 04 VFC's Cauã Costa got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Cauan Sabóia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabiano Porto skillfully saved the ball. After 54 played minutes Austra 04 VFC got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Costa. Breno Prado hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute Bebeto Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Téo de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. José Carlos Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Emerson Munhoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Austra 04 VFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Velho Barreiro FC the free kick. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Carlos Cardoso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Austra 04 VFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Austra 04 VFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
