In the 3rd match minute, Austra 04 VFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio do Valle to maneuver through the defense. Austra 04 VFC's Fabiano Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jo Calleri in the 4th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Palmares Futebol Clube's Jo Calleri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jo Calleri in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabiano Porto saved Austra 04 VFC from getting behind. After 19 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gerson Salles. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Loureiro in the 21st minute of play forced Austra 04 VFC's goalkeeper Fabiano Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Jo Calleri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabiano Porto. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. After 26 minutes, Luís Fábio do Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Austra 04 VFC and the Palmares Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Palmares Futebol Clube booed when Austra 04 VFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fábio do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Palmares Futebol Clube's Vicente Ferraz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabiano Porto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Austra 04 VFC's goalkeeper Fabiano Porto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jo Calleri. In the 29th minute, Cauã Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute of the match, Claudinei Loureiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fabiano Porto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With 34 minutes on the clock, João Carlos Antunes commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 35th match minute, Palmares Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carlos Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Palmares Futebol Clube's Fellipe Negri was substituted for Thomás Maia. After a rather tough play, Palmares Futebol Clube's João Carlos Antunes got a free kick in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Austra 04 VFC's Bruno de Castro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Vicente Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Porto made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Jo Calleri sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jo Calleri to strike the kick off in the second half. Austra 04 VFC's Fabiano Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jo Calleri in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jo Calleri in the 60th minute of play forced Austra 04 VFC's goalkeeper Fabiano Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jo Calleri in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabiano Porto saved Austra 04 VFC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Jo Calleri put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fabiano Porto. Fabiano Porto came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Palmares Futebol Clube's Jo Calleri. But to his dismay, Jo Calleri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Fabiano Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jo Calleri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Claudinei Loureiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmares Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 87th minute Jo Calleri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dário Moreira hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Austra 04 VFC's Pedrão Donato got a free kick in the 96th minute. Palmares Futebol Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
