Rafa de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Renascença A.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Baiano came free, but Fred Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Otávio Peixoto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fred Freire was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Renascença A.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Andrade came free, but Fred Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Clube Atl. Taquaritinga getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Délio Coelho hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Clube Atl. Taquaritinga defense, Valdir Gaspar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antônio Ferreira. The Clube Atl. Taquaritinga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antônio Ferreira should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute Fernando Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Renascença A.C.'s zone, Humberto Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Freire came out of the goal and Humberto Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Luiz Guilherme Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlinhos Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Humberto Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kauã Pernambucano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Antônio Ferreira made a huge save. In the 41st minute, Fernando Berger reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Antônio Ferreira. The goal made the score 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Berger made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Renascença A.C.'s Rafa de Castro got a free kick in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Kauã Pernambucano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Renascença A.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Atl. Taquaritinga the free kick. A collision led to Renascença A.C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Kauã Pernambucano hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the game, Renascença A.C.'s Kauã Pernambucano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antônio Ferreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Humberto Andrade in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fred Freire, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Renascença A.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlinhos Baiano took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Carlinhos Baiano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fred Freire quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Antônio Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 82nd minute, Fernando Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 85 in the game by Humberto Andrade from a close distance when the talented Fred Freire managed to make a qualified save. Renascença A.C.'s players were relieved. Antônio Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Berger in the 87th minute of play. During the 88th minute of the match Kauã Pernambucano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kauã Pernambucano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Kauã Pernambucano hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. A collision led to Renascença A.C. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Fernando Berger hit a great ball. Fred Freire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Andrade's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Clube Atl. Taquaritinga players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Renascença A.C..
