The audience was convinced that Allan Gomes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egídio Reis was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egídio Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tarcisio Baptista made the kick off in the second half. Leões do Sul 53's Egídio Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Gomes in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Red Bull Magnus's Allan Gomes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egídio Reis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 88 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's Tarcisio Baptista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aloísio Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
