An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Antunes in the 19th minute of play forced Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Vicente Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Red Bull Magnus:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Espigão Steamrollers:s goal. Red Bull Magnus's Aloísio Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Red Bull Magnus from getting a goal against them. Antoine Griezmann charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antoine Griezmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Espigão Steamrollers booed when Red Bull Magnus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gilmar Gerber the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Red Bull Magnus protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gilmar Gerber had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 39 minutes into the match, Espigão Steamrollers's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho Rosado came free, but Vicente Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Válter Dantas made a precise shot to the right of Aloísio Guimarães. Red Bull Magnus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After a rather tough play, Espigão Steamrollers's Renan Rosa got a free kick in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Aloísio Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edinho Severo hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The supporters of Red Bull Magnus booed when Espigão Steamrollers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelsinho Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurinho Rosado hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 74th match minute, Red Bull Magnus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidnei Linhares to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th match minute, Red Bull Magnus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurinho Rosado in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Catarinense saved Espigão Steamrollers from getting behind. Josué Castro hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Válter Dantas took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aloísio Guimarães. Aloísio Guimarães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0.
