A collision led to Karaboudjan getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Yan Pena hit a great ball. Wágner Vergílio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kiko da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Vergílio in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21stth minute of the game Celso Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karaboudjan's Kiko da Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kiko da Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamim Saraiva in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Flamengo FSCMZ's Wágner Vergílio got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Eriberto Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the game, Karaboudjan's Conrado França nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vitinho Bastos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 38th minute, Celso Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitinho Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Soares in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Flamengo FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Neiva came free, but Vitinho Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Frank Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vitinho Bastos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. Vitinho Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Gaspar in the 56th minute of the match. Vitinho Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Karaboudjan's Conrado França sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vitinho Bastos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 73rd match minute, Flamengo FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldinho Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Vitinho Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Arlindo Neiva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vitinho Bastos. That made the score 0-4 in the 76 minute of play. The supporters of Flamengo FSCMZ booed when Karaboudjan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Benjamim Saraiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kiko da Costa. Karaboudjan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamim Saraiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Vitinho Bastos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Conrado França showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 86 minute of play. Kiko da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Carneiro in the 89th minute of play. Celso Nascimento hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Vitinho Bastos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frank Soares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 93 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Karaboudjan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
