The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Rossi during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Nonatos United got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Rossi. After 5 minutes of play, ALTHENTIC F.C's Abelardo Urbano made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Travassos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abelardo Urbano might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente Travassos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abelardo Urbano ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Nonatos United's Humberto Rossi got a free kick in the 18th minute. Abelardo Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Vicente Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nonatos United's Vicente Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Urbano in the 28th minute of play. Vicente Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Urbano in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Abelardo Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of ALTHENTIC F.C booed when Nonatos United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Leopoldo Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the ALTHENTIC F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Mineiro couldn't finish the play. Ernani Guimarães charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernani Guimarães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Ernani Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Humberto Rossi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. Humberto Rossi hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, ALTHENTIC F.C's Leopoldo Mineiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wesley Sousa was the one to do the kick off. Abelardo Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 69 minutes of play, ALTHENTIC F.C's Abelardo Urbano made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With his leg Vicente Travassos managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when ALTHENTIC F.C's Abelardo Urbano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fabiano Rocha's late challenge caught a ALTHENTIC F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ALTHENTIC F.C booed when Nonatos United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Wesley Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd match minute, ALTHENTIC F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Queirós to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, Abelardo Urbano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vicente Travassos. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 94th minute, Alex Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the game, Abelardo Urbano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vicente Travassos. Abelardo Urbano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. ALTHENTIC F.C's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
