With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Paulo Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Werneck FC - DMZ's Caco Corrêa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valério Ramos. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Werneck FC - DMZ's Caco Corrêa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 9th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a rather tough play, Werneck FC - DMZ's Mário Mendes got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute Edgar Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Paulo Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Jeferson Duarte got a free kick in the 21st minute. Valério Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Zé Paulo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Werneck FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Mário Mendes. Zé Paulo Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Caco Corrêa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Valério Ramos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Cipriano Baptista got a free kick in the 41st minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Dante made a kick off. Zé Paulo Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Virgílio Toledo scored 5-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valério Ramos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Werneck FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Fernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Werneck FC - DMZ from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute, Delfim Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes, Werneck FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Lara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valério Ramos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Werneck FC - DMZ reached it. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Cipriano Baptista put in a rough tackle. Mário Mendes didn't quite understand what happened when in the 87 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Werneck FC - DMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
