Delfim Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Renatinho Linhares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delfim Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Fábio Garcia suffered a concussion in the 30th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 31 played minutes Uno Mille FC got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio de Alcântara. After 32 minutes of play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Vicente Chaves made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Delfim Marquez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gildo Maranhense charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Vicente Chaves put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Delfim Marquez. When Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Vicente Chaves in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uno Mille FC's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Cruzeiro Esporte Clube made a substitution. Ian Abreu replaced Renatinho Linhares. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicente Chaves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Delfim Marquez stood somewhat misplaced when Ian Abreu came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 53 minute. Vicente Chaves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Delfim Marquez made a huge save. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube made a substitution. Leonardo Porto replaced Gláuber Meira. In the 65th minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Vicente Chaves dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. After some careless play in the Uno Mille FC defense, Vicente Chaves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delfim Marquez. The Uno Mille FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfim Marquez should have stopped the shot. Delfim Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Chaves in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delfim Marquez saved Uno Mille FC from getting behind. 79 minutes into the game, Ian Abreu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Delfim Marquez. Ian Abreu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. The crowd rose to their feet as Ian Abreu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Delfim Marquez. That made the score 0-9 in the 82 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Uno Mille FC's Cícero Senna got a free kick in the 86th minute. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Vicente Chaves was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 88th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Vicente Chaves put it in 0-11 from a short distance just to the right of Delfim Marquez. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
