The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Serafim da Cunha got free in front of the goal in the 13th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Danilo Garcia was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, Ceilândia Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Augusto Cosme to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes AFC - Curitiba got a freekick which was hit by Serafim da Cunha. A long shot from José Augusto Cosme in the 19th minute of play was well struck, but Hudson Pinho made a really good save at the right post. Serafim da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Agostinho Neves put in a rough tackle. In the 27th match minute, AFC - Curitiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Neves to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Alvess short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Hudson Pinho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 32nd minute Lenílson Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes of play, Ceilândia Futebol Clube's Claudinho Falcão made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hudson Pinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonas Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Danilo Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Jonas Fernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Danilo Garcia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alan Romero to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Vitório Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, José Augusto Cosme sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AFC - Curitiba's Hudson Pinho didn't even have to move. Jonas Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Pinho having to interfere. The supporters of AFC - Curitiba booed when Ceilândia Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cafu de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ceilândia Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. José Augusto Cosme hit a great ball. In the 65th minute Luizão Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ceilândia Futebol Clube's Danilo Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Ceilândia Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, AFC - Curitiba's Fausto Magalhães got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 81 minutes, Cafu de Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ceilândia Futebol Clube and the AFC - Curitiba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ceilândia Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adelino França during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A wasted opportunity for AFC - Curitiba. Jonas Dracena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hudson Pinho having to make a save. Hudson Pinho came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Ceilândia Futebol Clube's Alan Romero. But to his dismay, Alan Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Ceilândia Futebol Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of AFC - Curitiba for a fine match.
