Spectators: 166 (Terracing: 125, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Teodoro Bezerra kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Toledo in the 2nd minute of play forced Shark FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Glauco Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute, Palestra do Interior's Norberto Passos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Glauco Velloso. Glauco Velloso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Shark FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Diguinho Velasco hit a great ball. Sandy Ogrocki struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Glauco Velloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palestra do Interior. 14 minutes into the match, Shark FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Glauco Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jhon Barcellos. Shark FC - FSCMZ's Glauco Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Shark FC - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Glauco Velloso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Glauco Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jhon Barcellos in the 20th minute of the match. Shark FC - FSCMZ's Glauco Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandy Ogrocki in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Shark FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Jhon Barcellos came free, but Glauco Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shark FC - FSCMZ's Glauco Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Shark FC - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Glauco Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Fantini in the 29th minute of the match. Dedé Mazer hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 34 minutes of play, Palestra do Interior's Jhon Barcellos made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Glauco Velloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Shark FC - FSCMZ's zone, Dedé Mazer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauco Velloso came out of the goal and Dedé Mazer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute Jhon Barcellos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aírton Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei de Amorim in the 45th minute of play. Dedé Mazer kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aírton Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jhon Barcellos took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Glauco Velloso. Glauco Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The audience was convinced that Aírton Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Glauco Velloso was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Glauco Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jhon Barcellos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Jhon Barcellos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glauco Velloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Hermínio de Queirós's late challenge caught a Shark FC - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermínio de Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Aírton Toledo took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Glauco Velloso. Glauco Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Shark FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glauco Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Glauco Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jhon Barcellos in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Shark FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Jhon Barcellos came free, but Glauco Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Jhon Barcellos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Glauco Velloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute, Ricardinho Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glauco Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Toledo in the 88th minute of the match. Glauco Velloso came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's Jhon Barcellos. But to his dismay, Jhon Barcellos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 94th minute Jhon Barcellos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glauco Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the Palestra do Interior players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
