When Davi Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cremonese FC's protests and gave Davi Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. Davi Veiga hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Cremonese FC's Natanael Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Saldanha in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cremonese FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuca Recife was slow to take the kick. During this time Militros F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Samuca Recife made a great header on Militros F.C.'s corner, it was just that Cremonese FC's Natanael Alvarenga managed to reach the ball for a save. Militros F.C.'s Sandro Tasso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Militros F.C. from getting a goal against them. Gaetano Scirea's late challenge caught a Militros F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaetano Scirea helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cremonese FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Gaetano Scirea hit a great ball. Tony Lopess short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Sandro Tasso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Diguinho da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandro Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Lopes in the 18th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Militros F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tony Lopes came free, but Sandro Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fábio Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Diguinho da Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Natanael Alvarenga. Cremonese FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diguinho da Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Abelardo Soares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sandro Tasso, 1-1. In the 31st minute, Reinaldo Saldanha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Militros F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Zé Pedro Amorim hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Soares in the 36th minute of play forced Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper Sandro Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Caio Berger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Sandro Tasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 43 minutes, Caio Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cremonese FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio Berger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tony Lopes made a kick off. The supporters of Cremonese FC booed when Militros F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Lopes in the 52nd minute of play forced Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper Sandro Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cremonese FC's Naldo Nunes got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute of the match Samuca Recife shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Natanael Alvarenga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Samuca Recife hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tony Lopes in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandro Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caio Berger might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandro Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caio Berger ran back to his position shaking his head. Sandro Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Tony Lopes sped through Militros F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sandro Tasso. Sandro Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Soares in the 67th minute of the match. When Davi Veiga was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. Caio Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abelardo Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sandro Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Militros F.C. getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Romário Silveira hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Soares in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandro Tasso saved Militros F.C. from getting behind. Caio Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Tasso having to interfere. Militros F.C.'s Sandro Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio Berger in the 89th minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Militros F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafinha Batista to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fábio Tróia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sandro Tasso. Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cremonese FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
