Reinaldo Saldanha started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Meirelles in the 4th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Douglas Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Pereira in the 6th minute of play forced Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper Sandro Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes Militros F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Igor Meirelles. After 11 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Couto. In the 13th minute Horácio Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo da Rocha in the 14th minute of play forced Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper Sandro Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Viana having to interfere. Horácio Pereira might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandro Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horácio Pereira ran back to his position shaking his head. SORRISO E. C.'s Yan Penha pulled a muscle in his leg after 19 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 19 minutes, Romário Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Militros F.C. and the SORRISO E. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. SORRISO E. C. made a substitution. Laerte Melo replaced Yan Penha. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when Militros F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Alberto Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SORRISO E. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 28thth minute of the game Alberto Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Militros F.C.'s Sandro Tasso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute, Joaquim da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horácio Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Horácio Pereira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandro Tasso was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Sandro Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Mendonça in the 33rd minute of the match. Romário Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Mendonça in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandro Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 minutes of play, SORRISO E. C.'s Alberto Mendonça made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sandro Tasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sandro Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Melo in the 44th minute of the match. With a little luck, SORRISO E. C.'s Douglas Viana got control of the ball when Diguinho da Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When SORRISO E. C.'s Alberto Mendonça in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Militros F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Igor Meirelles hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 56 minutes, Alberto Mendonça made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Militros F.C.'s Sandro Tasso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Mateus Salgado got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Mendonça in the 63rd minute of play forced Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper Sandro Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandro Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Mendonça in the 65th minute of the match. Alberto Mendonças short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Sandro Tasso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 66 minutes of play, SORRISO E. C.'s Alfredo da Rocha made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sandro Tasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! SORRISO E. C.'s Miguel da Rocha was substituted for Alfredo da Rocha. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Raphael Peixoto hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Reinaldo Saldanha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Viana was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Horácio Pereira scored 0-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sandro Tasso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87thth minute of the game Alberto Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Militros F.C.'s Sandro Tasso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Militros F.C.'s Diguinho da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, SORRISO E. C.'s Alberto Mendonça ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sandro Tasso. Sandro Tasso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. In the 97th minute of the match, Miguel da Rocha tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sandro Tasso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
