Marcelinho Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute Gil Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Cauan Penha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Murillo Gonçalves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joélson Guimarães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Dagoberto Nogueira made a huge save. After 24 minutes of play, S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Cauan Penha made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murillo Gonçalves was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Murillo Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 30 played minutes, S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Natã Britto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Murillo Gonçalves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in S O B E R A N O CIMZ reached it. Gil Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Gil Santana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Murillo Gonçalves. Grêmio FBPA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gil Santana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelinho Meireles to make the kick off. After 59 played minutes S O B E R A N O CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Arantes. In the 61st match minute, S O B E R A N O CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomás Arantes to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd match minute, S O B E R A N O CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Arce to maneuver through the defense. Ulisses Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Nogueira having to interfere. Matías Pitta hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gil Santana got free with Murillo Gonçalves in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Joélson Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th match minute, S O B E R A N O CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. Gil Santana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Murillo Gonçalves made a huge save. Gil Santana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Murillo Gonçalves when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dagoberto Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Meireles in the 93rd minute of play. If Marcelinho Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle went the supporters of S O B E R A N O CIMZ were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Grêmio FBPA side.
