In the 3rd minute Agnaldo Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Agnaldo Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GLADIADORES's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agnaldo Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agnaldo Dias hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Bucéfalo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Veiga came free, but Abelardo Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes, Dadá Britto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bucéfalo FC and the GLADIADORES players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bucéfalo FC's Dadá Britto got a free kick in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, GLADIADORES's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Braga came free, but Doriva Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Bucéfalo FC's Flavinho Braga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Doriva Prado. Doriva Prado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Doriva Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Doriva Prado made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Mazinho Damião sent off a good shot on target. Bucéfalo FC's Abelardo Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agnaldo Dias in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mazinho Damião was the one to do the kick off. Doriva Prado came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Bucéfalo FC's Nico Godoi. But to his dismay, Nico Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, GLADIADORES's Enio Moraes got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ulisses Montenegro's late challenge caught a GLADIADORES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulisses Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Bucéfalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th match minute, Bucéfalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Britto to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Veiga in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abelardo Saraiva, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 71 minutes into the match, Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Saraiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeca Guimarães. Bruninho Ortiz helped the player get up and apologised. 75 minutes into the game, Mazinho Damião was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bucéfalo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GLADIADORES the free kick. After 75 played minutes Bucéfalo FC got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho Damião. Bucéfalo FC's Abelardo Saraiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Bucéfalo FC from getting a goal against them. Ulisses Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Flavinho Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of GLADIADORES booed when Bucéfalo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulisses Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Nico Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Bucéfalo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nico Godoi couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bucéfalo FC had won after a very even match.
