When Edson Salles came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Inter de Melão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edson Salles couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Sydney Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabiano Lucas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Toninho Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapinantes F.C.'s protests and gave Toninho Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. Toninho Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Davi Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute Lino Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gildo de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toninho Cosme was shown his second yellow card after 32 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 33rd match minute, Rapinantes F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Cosme to maneuver through the defense. After 40 played minutes Inter de Melão got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Mineiro. In the 42nd minute of the match Edgar Rosa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gildo de Alcântara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Rapinantes F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Loureiro came free, but Fabiano Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Rapinantes F.C.'s Márcio Valle got a free kick in the 67th minute. Sidnei Gaúcho charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidnei Gaúcho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Rapinantes F.C. getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Sidnei Gaúcho hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Inter de Melão's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Valle came free, but Gildo de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lino Diniz struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Gildo de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapinantes F.C.. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sydney Loureiro in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabiano Lucas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sydney Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Fabiano Lucas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Melão. After having played for 81 minutes, Márcio Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapinantes F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Márcio Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rapinantes F.C.'s Sidnei Gaúcho got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute.
