The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cauan de Azevedo during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gildo de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márcio Valle in the 20th minute of play. After 22 minutes, Toninho Cosme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rapinantes F.C. and the Inter de Melão players grew even worse after the yellow card. Toninho Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Inter de Melão's attentive Edson Salles managed to snatch the ball when Jerônimo Esteves made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. Rapinantes F.C.'s Fabiano Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Loureiro in the 24th minute of play. Fabiano Lucas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sydney Loureiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Davi Borges had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabiano Lucas. The referee ignored Inter de Melão's protests and gave Sydney Loureiro a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Inter de Melão got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Loureiro. Edson Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabiano Lucas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sydney Loureiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Sidnei Gaúcho hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Edson Salles charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edson Salles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Edson Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the match, Rapinantes F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Loureiro came free, but Fabiano Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Inter de Melão's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Valle came free, but Gildo de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Inter de Melão fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Inter de Melão's Sydney Loureiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Valdo Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Lucas having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Rapinantes F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Rossi. Gildo de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
