The supporters of Xapetuba Futebol Clube booed when TaTeRo Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué Siqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 played minutes Xapetuba Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Paraíba. In the 26th minute, one of TaTeRo Boys:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for TaTeRo Boys. The referee gave Xapetuba Futebol Clube a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Álvaro Linares, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of TaTeRo Boys's Breno de Carvalho. 0-2. In the 32nd minute Silvério Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute Zé Carlos Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson de Moraes in the 38th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Silvério Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breno de Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Xapetuba Futebol Clube were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Iuri Tinoco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Breno de Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After a rather tough play, TaTeRo Boys's Arnaldo Sena got a free kick in the 55th minute. Breno de Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Berger in the 56th minute. The supporters of Xapetuba Futebol Clube booed when TaTeRo Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Álvaro Linares tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, TaTeRo Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Iuri Tinoco came free, but Breno de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 played minutes Xapetuba Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Tinoco. In the 74th match minute, Xapetuba Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Xapetuba Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Miguel Paraíba hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the game, Frank Simões was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TaTeRo Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xapetuba Futebol Clube the free kick. After 81 played minutes TaTeRo Boys got a freekick which was hit by Frank Simões. TaTeRo Boys's Breno de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério Ribeiro in the 84th minute of play. Breno de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Ribeiro in the 86th minute of play. Breno de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iuri Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zé Carlos Mendonça fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TaTeRo Boys's protests and gave Zé Carlos Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, TaTeRo Boys's Zé Carlos Mendonça got a free kick in the 89th minute. If Iuri Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The TaTeRo Boys fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Xapetuba Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
