Fabrício Mandrak hit a great ball. After 12 minutes, Gonçalo Baptista made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Maurício Veiga tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mané Ramalho's late challenge caught a Lupere FC - DMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mané Ramalho helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ got a freekick which was hit by Mané Ramalho. In the 20th match minute, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Dante to maneuver through the defense. After 20 played minutes, Lupere FC - DMZ's Jardel Guimarães shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maurício Veiga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lupere FC - DMZ reached it. A collision led to ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Juvenal Pires hit a great ball. Maurício Veiga came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Lupere FC - DMZ's Gonçalo Baptista. But to his dismay, Gonçalo Baptista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Maurício Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Baptista in the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Gonçalo Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lupere FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 41 played minutes Lupere FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Jardel Guimarães. In the 48th minute, Geovânio Penha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Gonçalo Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurício Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the game, Antônio Xavier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lupere FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ the free kick. Antônio Xavier hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Ramalho came free, but Walmir Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonçalo Baptista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maurício Veiga came out and tried to block the shot, but Gonçalo Baptista slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 70th minute. The supporters of ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ booed when Lupere FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonçalo Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Maurício Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Juninho Bittencourt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ and the Lupere FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Bittencourt. ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Maurício Veiga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ from getting a goal against them. If Gonçalo Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maurício Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Walmir Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Ramalho in the 92nd minute of play. After 94 minutes, Zé Augusto Mineiro made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Maurício Veiga tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lupere FC - DMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
