If Sandrinho Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vitor José took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Sandrinho Xavier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitor José was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, New Loser FC's Jailson Souto got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, S.E.R. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Pedro Goiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when João Pedro Goiano scored to the left of an out of position Vitor José, making the score, 2-6. The New Loser FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing New Loser FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
