In the 14th minute Teodoro Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitor José saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitor José came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Teodoro Neto. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Souza came free, but Vitor José reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Alberto Viana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amadeu Capixaba hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
