When Abel Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Matorin couldn't finish the play. Júnior Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Elói Neiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doriva Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Lauro Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Macedo in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Júnior Tinoco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lauro Mattos was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. The wind increased when Raul Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jano Donato got free with Doriva Simões in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Tinoco came free, but Lauro Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Gonçalves took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doriva Simões.
