Conrado Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, EC Rodrigus MZ's Rony de Moraes got a free kick in the 21st minute. After some careless play in the EC Rodrigus MZ defense, Róbson Simão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conrado Moreno. The EC Rodrigus MZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conrado Moreno should have stopped the shot. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Conrado Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmundo Paraense during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. César Torres was the one to do the kick off. Amadeu Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, EC Rodrigus MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Simão came free, but Conrado Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
