After a rather tough play, Capibaribe Stars's Edgar Paraíba got a free kick in the 10th minute. Simão Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Toscano came free, but Pedrinho Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simão Braga's late challenge caught a Capibaribe Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão Braga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Marquinhos Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Luiz Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marquinhos Sousa made a kick off. In the 69th match minute, DIPLOMATA FC PAB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerônimo Varela to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Guto Arósio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adhemar Vergílio. Capibaribe Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guto Arósio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Lucas de Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas de Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of DIPLOMATA FC PAB booed when Capibaribe Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nico Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Marquinhos Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adhemar Vergílio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. DIPLOMATA FC PAB walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
