After 13 played minutes DIPLOMATA FC PAB got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Varela. 15 minutes into the match, Zé Pedro Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedrinho Sergipano. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Pedro Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Oséias Rosa hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Claudinei Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos Sousa in the 23rd minute of play forced Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 minutes, João Carlos Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DIPLOMATA FC PAB and the Goblins F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedrinho Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Campidelis in the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Goblins F.C.'s Waldemar Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedrinho Sergipano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Waldemar Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Pedrinho Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Zé Pedro Mendes in the 36th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 46th minute Simão Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Pedro Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruninho Campidelis got free with Pedrinho Sergipano in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 75 minutes into the match, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Mendes came free, but Pedrinho Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Zé Pedro Mendes notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Pedrinho Sergipano. Pedrinho Sergipano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Zé Pedro Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 90 minutes on the clock, Celsinho Marquez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Goblins F.C. booed when DIPLOMATA FC PAB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Waldemar Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goblins F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldemar Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of DIPLOMATA FC PAB booed when Goblins F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Pedrinho Sergipano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save DIPLOMATA FC PAB from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Jerônimo Varela got a free kick in the 96th minute.
