Thomás Montenegro's late challenge caught a AllRaf EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomás Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Dragões de Campo Grande got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Montenegro. Hugo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizinho Catarinense in the 4th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovanni Vargas got free with Paulo Renato Martins in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 7 minutes of play, Dragões de Campo Grande's Thomás Montenegro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Renato Martins was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to AllRaf EC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Luizinho Catarinense hit a great ball. Thomás Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Dragões de Campo Grande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. AllRaf EC's Gilson Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Dragões de Campo Grande's José Silva got a free kick in the 19th minute. Gilson Sabóia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 31st minute Duarte Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dragões de Campo Grande's Hugo Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Trigo in the 34th minute of play. A collision led to Dragões de Campo Grande getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Thomás Montenegro hit a great ball. Geovanni Vargas hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Trigo in the 43rd minute of play forced Dragões de Campo Grande's goalkeeper Hugo Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Duarte Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luizinho Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Santos having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Duarte Trigo made a kick off. In the 59th minute Edu Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Válbson Netto fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dragões de Campo Grande's protests and gave Válbson Netto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dragões de Campo Grande getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Válbson Netto hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Geovanni Vargas notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of AllRaf EC's Paulo Renato Martins. Paulo Renato Martins was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Silva struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Paulo Renato Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dragões de Campo Grande. After 87 played minutes Dragões de Campo Grande got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Travassos. Fernandinho das Neves hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Hugo Santos made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Duarte Trigo sent off a good shot on target. The Dragões de Campo Grande support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
