Jukatriz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dragões de Campo Grande the free kick. After 21 played minutes Jukatriz got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Cosme. After a rather tough play, Jukatriz's Dieguinho Coutinho got a free kick in the 26th minute. Samuca Chaves kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Tróia in the 30th minute of play forced Dragões de Campo Grande's goalkeeper Hugo Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ricardinho Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Vítor Paraibano to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Jukatriz booed when Dragões de Campo Grande was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves João Vítor Paraibano could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Hugo Santos however easily saved by the left post. In the 62nd minute, Válbson Netto made a precise shot to the right of Germano Branco. Jukatriz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Dragões de Campo Grande's Hugo Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo Magalhães in the 70th minute of play. Hugo Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Santos made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when João Vítor Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. Nestor da Silveira hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute João Vítor Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Vítor Paraibano in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, José Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inácio Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Hugo Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
