When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Gino Bezerra took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Abelardo Barreto to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Inazuma Japan's Gino Bezerra got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Inazuma Japan's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo Valladares came free, but Pedro Luiz Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24thth minute of the game Nelson Arce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inazuma Japan's Pedro Luiz Corrêa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi's Luiz Paulo Cosme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz Corrêa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 47 minutes, Paulo José Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inazuma Japan and the Vila Zumbi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Inazuma Japan's Pedro Luiz Corrêa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Inazuma Japan from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Inazuma Japan booed when Vila Zumbi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee showed Claudinei Lopez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 98th minute of the match Sandro Seco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Luiz Corrêa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Inazuma Japan had won after a very even match.
